Review by The Minstrel Avenue Record:
After a hiatus of nearly 12 years, Paul Benshoof released his sixth album in 2006. And despite his unusually
long break from recording, this collection clearly shows that Paul's ability as a dynamic songwriter and
recording artist has not waned. In fact, he has taken his art to new levels.
The album features solid
rockers New Attitude and Train to Amsterdam, as well as the folksy acoustic tune What Your
Eyes Have Never Seen and eight other musical gems sporting Benshoof's signature sound.
This is
not to suggest that the album is chock-full of recycled, predictable material. Never to be pigeon-holed into
a strict musical category, Benshoof deliciously covers a variety of styles from guitar rock to acoustic folk
to swing jazz to piano ballads, yet never deviating far from the sonic textures his fans have come to adore.
